Frequently Asked Questions

During the trip

Lost & Found

Within 2 business days after the trip, the tour lead files the trip report. If any personal items was found, it will be indicated on the trip report. Then we will send a lost & found notice email to all passengers on the bus. If the item bellows to you, you should claim it online by giving detailed descriptions:

Log in | My account | Order History | lost & found

Once we establish that you are the rightful owner, we will put you in touch with the tour lead for you to pick up your item. We don't ship. If you don't see our email notification regarding lost & found after 2 business days. It means our tour lead did not recover anything. In this case, you should contact the charter bus company to see if their driver or cleaning crew have recovered it. Just give them the trip date and ski resort name. You can find the charter bus company's name on your boarding pass and google it to find their contact information.

Do we get food?

Yes you do. We provide light breakfast on board free of charge which includes Granola bars, a small bottle of smoothie and a bottled water.

Child on board

Children under 3 are not allowed to board the bus under any circumstances. Children under 12 must be accompanied by someone over 15 years of age. Ski resort requires parent/guardian to sign for a minor when renting gears, therefore parent/guardian must accompany their children if they need rentals. Passengers regardless of age must have a seat by law. Bus fare for children and adults are the same.

Can I park there?

Most pickup locations either have parking space available or have easy public transit access. In the case of SF Bay Area, Boston, New York, we have used the pickup locations for years without customer complains. However, NAC SKI DOES NOT assume any responsibility for vehicles being ticketed, towed, stolen or otherwise damaged.

What is a Tour Lead

A Tour Lead (or TL) is a volunteer who helps to coordinate your trip, distribute tickets and attend to the passenger's needs. This is a part-time volunteer job where the compensation is free skiing and lunch, to learn more about becoming a NAC SKI tour leader, click on jobs on the web site.

I missed the bus in the AM!

You may try to get to the next pickup location before the bus departs. You can find the GPS numbers (latitude and longitude) for other pickup locations on your Boarding Pass.

There is no refund for no show.

I missed the bus in the PM!

The bus leaves the resort at the designated time, which is indicated on your boarding pass. We ask all the passengers to come back to the bus by the "Boarding time". If you miss the bus, there is no refund and you will be responsible for ALL THE COSTS associated with it, such as lodging, food and transportation etc.

One-way trips?

You can take a one-way trip. This either involves a bus ride only, or a full package. If you are planning to meet friends or family and stay and therefore not return home on the bus, please notify the bus's tour leader so that they can adjust the headcount for the ride home accordingly.

Does the bus stop for food?

No, please bring any food, snacks, and drinks that you will want for breakfast and dinner. Please also be respectful of the bus and fellow passengers and bring a small bag for your trash.

Is there a restroom on the bus?

Yes, there is a restroom on the bus. When using the restroom, and when through, please leave the toilet seat in the down position to help contain any odor. Similarly, try your best to not the use of the onboard restroom if possible to minimize odor buildup and using the restroom at the resort before returning to the bus is a very good idea.

Is the bus locked during the day?

Yes, the bus is locked while you are at the ski resort during the day. However, NAC SKI assumes no responsibility for any items lost or stolen on the bus. You will not have access to the bus during the day so take anything you will need with you. All resorts have lockers for day rental.

When do we get back?

Approximate drop-off times are provided on the booking page for your trip. Actual times can vary due to weather and/or traffic.

Can I bring alcohol on the bus?

No, bringing and drinking alcoholic beverages of any kind on the bus is forbidden. Brett Studebaker Law went into effect in January 2013 in California, but NAC SKI forbids alcohol on any bus anywhere in the USA or Canada.

Bus Behavior

To maximize everyone's comfort and enjoyment, we request that you exhibit good behavior while on the bus and be considerate and respectful of your fellow passengers. In addition, foul language, rude behavior, and the like are disrespectful to your fellow passengers and will not be tolerated. In extreme cases of bad behavior, you may be removed from the bus and must then find your own transportation home.
